Oftentimes, the ACA Marketplace provides the best path to healthcare coverage—especially for those who qualify for subsidies through the Advanced Premium Tax Credit. However, if you earn too much to qualify for financial assistance, ACA plans can be expensive, and enrollment requires consenting to government access to your tax information.
There are alternative plan options, but unlike ACA plans they have strict health requirements and can deny you for pre-existing conditions.
To access these plans, you and everyone on the plan will have to answer "No" to a list of questions related to your health (see Questions). You must also agree to participate as a "working owner." This requires completing eight short activities per year, most of which take just 5 to 15 minutes and can be done from your phone.
Population Science Management (PSM) – Lower-cost options with $1M annual coverage.
Gigcare Plans – Blue Cross Blue Shield network with nationwide access.
RBP Plans – PHCS Practitioner & Ancillary network with nationwide access.
✅ If you don't qualify for a subsidy through ACA, your premiums may be considerably lower
✅ No need to provide your tax return or report income
✅ Access to nationwide provider networks
✅ Flexible participation requirements (simple online activities)
✅ Options with no coverage limits available
